Nikhil Bansal, a B.tech student from Punjabi University, who got a gold iPhone, 16 GB for just Rs 68 for real.
Early this year Nikhil ordered an iPhone from Snapdeal which was priced at Rs 68 due to incorrect price on there website. After placing the order, he kept waiting for the iPhone to be delivered.
But before the order could be delivered, it got canceled from Snapdeal stating it was a mistake. Nikhil approached the consumer court in Sangrur district of Punjab that he actually got an confirmation order stating the iPhone was sold to him for Rs.68, where Snapdeal was asked to ‘honor the deal’.
The judgement was passed in Nikhil’s favor. So he got the iPhone for Rs 68, and On top of that Snapdeal had to pay a penalty of Rs 2000 for denying his order.
