Pedro Acosta leads the MotoGP World Championship standings following a victory in the season-opening Sprint race in Thailand. Marco Bezzecchi sits in second place overall after winning the first full-length feature race of the season for Aprilia.
The 2026 MotoGP season has kicked off with a major shake-up, breaking the long-standing dominance of Ducati. Following the opening round in Thailand, here is the current state of play:
- The Leader: Pedro Acosta (KTM) sits at the top of the standings. After a stellar rookie phase, he secured his first Sprint win in Thailand and is now the man to beat.
